
Pladis has announced two new limited edition additions to its popular Mini Cheddars range.
Mini Cheddars’ new Chipotle & Lime and Nacho Cheese flavours have been created in response to the evolution of consumer tastes, Pladis said.
Kate Stokes, marketing manager at Pladis UK&I, said: “We’re adding two exciting Mini Cheddars limited edition flavours to our popular baked snack range, just in time for this year’s summer of sport.
“We’re tapping into the increasing interest in Mexican flavours, where there’s a growing appetite for spicy, tangy and savoury profiles, which is pushing ingredients such as chipotle into the mainstream. One of the top trends is pairing spicy elements like jalapeños with creamy cheese to balance the heat, as in nacho cheese.”
Both new flavours are included in an on-pack campaign running throughout this year’s summer of sport. It runs on Jacob’s sharing and grab bag formats across Crinklys BIG, Twiglets and Mini Cheddars Cheeselets baked snacks range.
The campaign is timed to leverage 2026’s major exciting sporting events - key for the crisps and snacks category as sales rise steeply when friends and family gather together.
After purchase, shoppers simply scan the QR code on pack to be in with a chance to win a Sony home stadium set-up worth £5k. It’s an instant win as shoppers find out straight away if they’ve won or not.
Independent retailers will also have the chance to win a Sony home stadium set-up worth £1.5k or one of 60,000+ Sony Bluetooth travel speakers, They can also enter via www.winbigwithjacobs.co.uk where full terms and the privacy notice are available.
Both the shopper and retailer on-pack campaigns are live until 26 July.
The new Mini Cheddars Chipotle & Lime flavour are available in a 150g sharing pack with an RRP of £2, and 90g £1.25 pricemarked packs. The Nacho Cheese flavour come in 150g sharing packs with an RRP of £2. All are available across grocery, wholesale and convenience now.
