Unilever brand Surf has launched a tongue-in-cheek online parody video in its latest campaign to promote Surf Sensations.

The video parodies the dramatic and luxurious adverts of the perfume industry and is available to view on the brand’s YouTube channel. The film features a woman strutting down a long corridor, sweeping between bed sheets, revealing a surprising ending which sees her loading her washing with Surf Sensations, rather than unveiling a perfume product as expected.

Surf brand manager Michelle Kimber said: “We’re excited to have launched our new range of detergent fragrances to add some luxury to our brand, but keeping our light-hearted sense humour. This film is a great balance of these two elements and initial tests have already shown that it resonates well with our target.”

The campaign aims to position the laundry market as glamourous and sophisticated, just like a perfume brand. The video also highlights the Surf Sensations range, which has been created by perfume experts and includes three new fragrances: Golden Blossom, Delicate Moonflower and Enchanting Dahlia.
