Red Bull has launched a cherry‑flavoured variant under its new Spring Editions range.
Called Spring Edition Cherry Sakura, the NPD takes its inspiration from the “Japanese cherry blossom”, according to the supplier. It offered “floral and fruity” notes.
The full sugar variant is available now in plain 250ml (RRP £1.80) and £1.75 PMP cans, plain 355ml cans, plain 473ml and £2.85 PMP cans, as well as 4x250ml multipacks.
It marks the first time Red Bull has introduced price-marked cans for its 473ml format. The move aims to provide “loyal shoppers with the opportunity to trade up”, said the supplier.
In its own consumer testing, over 75% of shoppers said a cherry-flavoured energy drink was “appealing”, it added.
