Small batch cocktail brand, Kocktail, has announced an addition to its premium ready-to-drink (RTD) line-up - the new Kocktail Glass.
Offering a point of difference in the category, the launch will serve up “a fresh take on RTDs,” it said. Reflecting the brand’s focus on an elevated at-home cocktail experience, it delivers a first for the format.
Designed to be kept and reused in a world where other players are yet to deliver on recyclability, the “aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly” glass is also exempt from the upcoming DRS for single-use plastic bottles and cans.
Alongside creating something to be kept and experienced beyond the first use, Kocktail is “marking the next step in the evolution of category premiumisation,” using spirits such as Elijah Craig Small Batch, known as the Father of Bourbon, alongside favourites such as Hepple Gin, Asterley Bros and Cazcabel.
Launching in early August with a line-up of three classic variants, each 100ml serve is designed to deliver a standard-sized cocktail. The Negroni, Old Fashioned and Margarita hve each been chosen for their classic appeal, with the glass format meaning consumers simply need to add ice and garnish for a true, high-end cocktail experience from the comfort of home.
Andrew Hutchinson, co-founder, said: “We always wanted to enable our loyal customers to pick up a Kocktail for under £10 but we find that every time we see a cocktail in a can or a pouch, we wish it was in a glass. We think a cocktail should be an experience and we think our beautiful new glasses really deliver on that.”
Kocktail’s new 100ml glass serves carry an RRP of £7.50 and will be listed with wholesalers CN Foods and The Cress Company initially, but can also be purchased direct via the company’s trade site.
