The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has recalled a range of ten pies from makers Pieminister after it was revealed they had been printed with the wrong use by dates.
The range, which were incorrectly labelled with a date in 2026 rather than 2025 (namely 24 June) were recalled this week, although the FSA points out that the pies are safe to eat if the correct date is taken into account.
Nine of the pies are in 270g packs, with the Spinach & Feta variant a smaller, 230g pack.
Pieminister Kitchens is recalling the above products and says POS notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought one.
Customers are advised to not eat the pies beyond their correct use by date of 24 June this year. However, if they return them to the store from where they were bought they will be able to obtain a full refund.
