F'real Birthday Cake and Banana

Leading self-serve milkshake brand F’real has unveiled Birthday Cake and Banana flavours at the National Convenience Show where it is currently exhibiting.

US favourite F’real flavour Cake Batter lands on UK shores this summer as Limited Edition Birthday Cake, complete with multicoloured sprinkles, while brand new f’real flavour Banana is made with banana puree, fresh milk, rich dairy ice cream and zero artificial ingredients. The firm notes that banana is one of the top three milkshake flavours of choice among UK consumers (The NPD Group, SnapMyEats, YE Dec 2019-21).

To mark the launch of these new flavours, the entire F’real range is having a packaging refresh to further increase shelf appeal and make the products even more eye-catching and ‘Instagrammable’.

The dairy drinks category is up 48.6% on last year, growing to £306.5m (Kantar 2022), with milkshakes and flavoured milk responsible for much of those gains. With 20,000+ blenders installed worldwide and over 350 million cups sold, F’real claims to be a destination product.

John Want, sales, marketing and R&D Director at F’real, said: “We’ve heard retailers and consumers alike clamouring for flavour innovations, and we’ve listened – Birthday Cake and Banana are only the first wave of several exciting NPD to be announced this year.

“We’ve spent a lot of time in research and development to pick the perfect additions to our range, with Birthday Cake and Banana two of the most requested flavours on our social media platforms. We’re confident the new flavours will see f’real machines across the country in overdrive this summer, with our retailer customers enjoying fantastic cup sales as a result.

“Retailers will also benefit from a full launch support programme with free POS, digital assets and social media campaigns. And we’re sure f’real fans across the country will be delighted with the range of Limited Editions hitting convenience and retail stores near them.”

The new flavours will be available to F’real stockists from July 2022.
