This year, the festive classic of ‘chestnuts roasting on an open fire’ will come to Fairfields Farm’s fryers, as the artisan crisp producer has announced plans to bring festive cheer to snack aisles.

Its latest special edition, the 150g Honey Roasted Chestnut & Sage flavour packs will hit shelves in October. The latest seasonal special blends nostalgic Christmas comfort with a contemporary twist, inspired in part by the popularity of vegan nut roasts.

The flavour replaces the brand’s Maple Glazed Ham, its festive staple for the past three years. Designed to appeal to evolving consumer tastes, Honey Roasted Chestnut & Sage flavour continues the brand’s commitment to crafting 100% vegan-friendly and gluten-free snacks.

Made using the farm’s homegrown crisping potatoes and natural ingredients, which are free from major allergens, the new flavour perfectly balances the sweetness of a honey-roasted chestnut flavour with aromatic notes of sage.

The news marks Fairfields Farm’s second new flavour launch of 2025, following the introduction of its Chorizo & Red Wine crisps, set to hit shelves this month.

Robert Strathern, co-founder, said: “We knew we had to create something that lived up to the love our Maple Glazed Ham flavour received over the years. Honey Roasted Chestnut & Sage is a celebration of the festive season - sweet, herby and absolutely delicious. We’re incredibly proud of what our team has created.”
