Mondelez International is growing the Cadbury Duos range by bringing its bestselling singles product into this increasingly popular format.
Twirl Xtra features two longer 27g pieces of chocolate in each pack and is rolling out with an RRP of 80p. The launch will be supported by in-store POS and activation.
The total duos market is growing by +11.1% ahead of singles (Nielsen), with the format offering a unique selling point. Mondelez’s research shows that shoppers are not only choosing duos for themselves but are also sharing them with loved ones, so the firm claims that Twirl Xtra is well positioned to help retailers expand into sharing occasions.
