Forecourt operator Tony Barlow (Local Service Stations) wants to hear from anyone who has had wrangles with till roll suppliers who first send unwanted stock and then demands for payment.

Despite successful court action against Saxon Paper, he says he still gets phone calls from the company.

"This onslaught can be very worrying for small business and indeed costly, time-consuming and wearing. I expect that many have rolled over and paid just to make the problem go away," he suggests.

"I would be willing to act as a collector of information and ask that people send me their experiences of this matter, as only by demonstrating to the authorities how many people are affected, and to what extent, will we force them to take action."
