EG On The Move and Co-op have this week grown their forecourt and convenience food franchise collaboration with two new sites, creating fuel and food destinations in Moston (Chester) and Buchandyke (East Kilbride).
The redeveloped Moston Service Station, located opposite Chester Zoo, combines EG On The Move’s petrol forecourt with Co-op’s leading convenience retail expertise, the pair said.
However, launching in the same week is the roadside service station in Buchandyke. Known as Buchandyke Petrol Filling station, the site is located on Maxwelton Road.
Co-op’s convenience stores - operated as a franchise - bring quality food and drink, deals, value and promotions to the forecourt to fuel motorists on the go or to provide food for later.
The two sites expand the franchise partnership between Co-op and EG On The Move following the conclusion of a successful trial together last year.

Michael Hargreaves, Co-op’s head of forecourt franchise, said: “We’re delighted to again partner with EG On The Move on the launch of these latest sites.
“Co-op stores have a focus on being a hub locally, delivering the quality, choice, value and added services which can be enjoyed by everyone, along with contributing to local life. We’re focused on scaling our franchise business by sharing our convenience expertise with quality partners, and look forward to identifying more locations for joint growth with EG On The Move.”
Zuber Issa, CEO, EG On The Move, added: “We’re delighted to collaborate with Co-op on our latest sites. We are focused on creating destination sites, with strong food service and quality convenience retailing. We look forward to continuing to grow our successful relationship with Co-op to enhance the convenience store offer aligned to our forecourts and create a fuel and food destination.”
