Unitas Wholesale Ltd, the buying group formed from the merger of Today’s Group and Landmark Wholesale, has announced the appointment of Darren Goldney as managing director and John Mills as deputy managing director.

The new organisation will take effect from 1 November with a combined turnover in excess of £8bn, it said.

Goldney and Mills, mds of Today’s and Landmark respectively, will be joined by Blakemore Wholesale md Sam Wilcox as Unitas chairman and JW Filshill md Simon Hannah as deputy chairman.

Andrew Thewlis has been appointed as finance director, John Baines as trading director and John Kinney as retail director.
