Princes has launched two fish ranges as part of a drive to appeal to new audiences with its grocery portfolio.

Following a £5m packaging revamp for its entire range in March, Princes is aiming to attract shoppers looking for health, taste and convenience with its new infused fish.

The brand’s Tuna Fillets range comes in cans (rrp £2) and is filled with hand-packed pieces of fish with olive oil or chilli oil. The products feature a high protein recipe and ingredients sourced from sustainable sources.

Meanwhile, Princes’ Mackerel Sizzle range (rrp £1.90) is made with skinless and boneless fillets and comes in a choice of three flavoured marinades: zesty lime & chilli; rich tomato & herbs; and smokey chilli & tomato.

Both ranges are targeted at consumers who want quick and easy meals and will be made available to stores across the UK from this month.

The launch will be supported by a large media campaign - kicking off later this year - and cans of Mackerel Sizzle will include a 50p coupon on pack for shoppers to redeem on a second product (available until May 2020).

Mat Lowery, commercial director for fish products at Princes, said: “These two unique innovations are a result of our response to the changes we are seeing among our consumers, by providing products that meet the needs of modern family life.

“We will continue to innovate to remain relevant and provide our consumers with the great tasting, convenient products they expect from us, as we continue to grow as one of the UK’s largest food and drink brands.”
