The design looks to provide consumers with a ’little flavour of Japanese culture’

Leading soy sauce brand Kikkoman has launched 200,000 limited-edition 150ml dispenser bottles inspired by anime and Japanese culture.

The bottles feature a manga-style illustration of a girl’s face, set against sakura cherry blossoms reflecting springtime in Japan. The design is complemented by modern Japanese motifs including a cat and an origami bird.

Bing-yu Lee, general manager at Kikkoman UK, said, “Following the success of our last six limited editions the latest one is our most detailed and ambitious and will delight our growing loyal consumer base. In these challenging times our design is all about joy, peacefulness and a sense of renewal.

“All our creatives aim to give consumers a little flavour of Japanese culture and with the popularity of all things Japanese right now I’m confident our latest one will sell out in record time.”
