Inch’s Reserve promises ‘a fuller‑bodied, more considered cider experience’

Inch’s has confirmed the launch of a posh version of its flagship Medium Apple cider “elevated for sipping and savouring”.

Inch’s Reserve offers “a fuller‑bodied, more considered cider experience” and a higher alcohol content of 7.4% abv. The NPD will launch across grocery, convenience and wholesale from 15 March in 500ml glass bottles (rsp: £2.80).

It comes after The Grocer broke the news of Inch’s Reserve’s forthcoming rollout earlier this year.

With the launch of Reserve, Inch’s was seeking to “bring modernity to the premium apple cider category,” said Max Wainwright, cider brand director at Heineken UK.

The segment was the second-largest across total cider – and the fastest-growing – HUK said, citing NIQ data.

“When creating Inch’s Reserve, our Herefordshire cider makers have retained the recognisable apple-y flavour we know shoppers love from Inch’s,” Wainwright said. “Ultimately our aim is to help retailers unlock growth opportunities and drive basket spend, and we’re confident our first move into the premium apple cider segment will support this.”

The launch will be supported by sampling, in-store activation and a social media campaign.
