Kellogg’s has been announced as an official Team GB partner for next summer’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The partnership means the brand will have marketing rights across its brands until the end of next year.
From April to June, Kellogg’s will be giving five customers the chance to win a VIP trip to Rio worth £15,000 through a text-to-win competition.
Other prizes up for grabs include five pairs of tickets to the games, including flights, a four star hotel, several tickets to events, including the closing ceremony and £1,000 of spending money. In July, Kellogg’s will also launch two new themed Pringles flavours.
Kellogg’s sales director for specialty channels Nick Dawson said: “Customers and shoppers alike get incredibly excited about the Olympics, and it’s great news that Kellogg’s can throw its full support behind Team GB with this official partnership. It’s the world’s biggest sporting event, and we’re going to use it as an opportunity to grow sales across all of our categories.”
Kellogg’s UK managing director Jonathan Myers said: “We are proud to be an official partner of Team GB and it’s a winning fit for us as we look to create excitement for retailers and shoppers across our cereal and snacks brands ahead of and during Rio 2016.”
