Aunt Bessie’s is launching a new competition giving retailers the chance to host a ‘Roast & Ramble’ event for their local community.

The competition will see an Aunt Bessie’s van pitch up outside the winning retailer’s store on Sunday December 16, as part of the brand’s new £5m marketing campaign.

Customers at the winning store will be given meals featuring Aunt Bessie’s roast dinner products, as well as a route map for the community ramble. On their return to the store, those who take part in the walk will receive an Aunt Bessie’s bag containing everything they need to prepare a roast dinner.

The winning retailer will also receive pre-event promotional support from Aunt Bessie’s and five runner-up stores will win two cases of each of the brand’s three core products: Aunt Bessie’s 12 Golden Yorkshires; Aunt Bessie’s 700g Roasties; and Aunt Bessie’s Honey Glazed Parsnips.

Hannah Haas, marketing director at Aunt Bessie’s, said: “Our Roast & Ramble competition is centred on bringing to life the joy that roast dinners bring to people, whilst putting the local convenience store centre stage as the host. We’re looking to reinforce how quick and simple they are to make, any day of the week.”

Convenience retailers have until November 23 to enter the ‘Roast & Ramble’ competition. To enter, retailers must send a picture message to 07944 113972 or group.auntbessies@cirkle.com, showing their in-store freezer stocked with Aunt Bessie’s 12 Golden Yorkshires; 700g Roasties; and Honey Glazed Parsnips.
