Tates Spar's latest store at Manchester Airport's Terminal 2 is majoring on food to go.
The 600sq ft store, which is open 24 hours, took more than £10,000 on food to go alone in its first week of trading, and sold 1,800 cups of coffee in its second.
More than 15 varieties of baguettes and sandwiches are on offer, along with a wide variety of hot food such as freshly prepared chicken curry and potato wedges. Spar T2 also offers PayPoint bill payment and mobile top-ups, lottery tickets and scratchcards as well as chilled beers and wines, chilled foods, and general grocery. It also features a Tim Hortons coffee and donut unit.
