Funds from sales of Co-op’s own brand lines have helped to reach a near £100k fundraising total in ten years.

Nearly £100k has been raised for the Together for Short Lives children’s charity through a decade-long partnership between Center Parcs and Co-op Wholesale’s charity partner, Making a Difference Locally (MADL).

The money will fund vital care for children living with serious illness and their families, and was raised through a percentage of sales of Co-op own brand products sold through Center Parcs Parc Market, supporting children’s hospices across the UK.

The ongoing donations provided by Co-op Wholesale have helped sustain services supporting thousands of families across the UK. Together for Short Lives and the children’s hospices it supports are committed to inclusivity, providing free, accessible services to families from all backgrounds.

Children’s hospices across the UK have benefitted from the donation.

Kate Carroll, social value lead at Co-op Wholesale, said: “This is exactly what our Making a Difference Locally fund is all about - empowering Co-op Wholesale partners to support the groups that make a real difference in people’s lives. We’re proud that MADL has been able to support a charity doing such important work.”

Nick Carroll, chief executive of Together for Short Lives, added: “The generosity of the Making a Difference Locally scheme is truly humbling.

”The latest donation of £18,782 will go to children’s hospices across the UK, helping fund vital care and support. For families facing the ups and downs of caring for a child living with serious illness, this kind of donation makes all the difference, and we’re deeply thankful.”
