RaceTrack Pitstop’s partnership with Co-op Wholesale will cover stores around Glasgow.

Co-op Wholesale - the home of Nisa - has announced it has strengthened its presence in the independent forecourt and convenience sector with the signing of expansive Scottish operator, RaceTrack Pitstop.

The five-year partnership, which initially covers four stores across Glasgow, demonstrates Co-op Wholesale’s continuing focus on “building a future‑ready independent retail network through strengthening and supporting the sector’s growth,” it said.

RaceTrack Pitstop is a multi-award-winning independent operator with 12 stores in and around Glasgow, well known for its modern, well‑run neighbourhood provision and will continue trading under its own name and signage with the addition of Proud to Stock Co-op decals.

Its operational approach aligns closely with Co‑op Wholesale’s model, which is built around competitive pricing, an applauded own brand range and a nationwide supply network, all designed to help convenience retailers trade more efficiently and profitably.

Under the new partnership, RaceTrack Pitstop will benefit from access to Co-op’s own brand range across categories including alcohol, food to go, snacks, treats and food for tonight - including Co-op’s Irresistible pizza range.

Ian King, business development and growth director at Co-op Wholesale, said: “We’re delighted to be working with such a well-respected operator in RaceTrack Pitstop. It’s highly thought of by both industry peers and shoppers alike, thanks to its clear focus on value, quality and customer experience.

“This partnership reflects the strength of our wholesale offering and our continued commitment to supporting ambitious independent retailers with the value, service and scale they need to grow and serve their customers’ needs.”

Guna Sud, retail manager at RaceTrack Pitstop, added: “Partnering with Co-op Wholesale is the perfect next step in our journey as we expand our store portfolio. We hope this partnership allows us to further enhance our retail offering, giving us an even greater point of difference in the market and delivering more value for our customers, every day.”

The first of the four stores in the partnership will officially open in September.
