Happy To Chat, Happy To Listen is a Scottish charity promoting better mental health in schools.

Greens of Blairgowrie has donated £1,000 to Happy to Chat, Happy to Listen - a Scottish charity dedicated to promoting mental health awareness.

The donation was part of Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally’s Heart of the Community Funding Giveaway Awards, and will support vital mental health education for young people.

It will enable Happy to Chat, Happy to Listen to continue delivering Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to third-year pupils at Blairgowrie High School. This important initiative “equips young people with the knowledge and confidence to recognise the signs of mental health challenges and provide early support to peers,” the charity said.

Jack Brady, from Greens of Blairgowrie, said: “We’re proud to support initiatives that make a meaningful difference in our local community. Mental health awareness among young people is more important than ever, and Happy to Chat, Happy to Listen is delivering vital support right where it’s needed.”

Susan Hart, the charity’s project manager, added: “We are incredibly grateful for this funding from Greens. This support allows us to continue providing Mental Health First Aid training at Blairgowrie High School, helping young people build resilience and support one another.”

Making a Difference Locally is the charitable arm of Co-op Wholesale, providing support to local good causes through fundraising generated by independent retailers across the UK.
