Most Bargain Booze and Thorougoods franchisees will get their first cash bonuses this month following the introduction of a new reward scheme.

The retailers will share more than £180,000 in bonus money under Conviviality Retail’s franchisee reward scheme, which was launched as part of a package of new incentives to support its franchisees.

Under the initiative franchisees receive a bonus on a quarterly basis, with payment levels rising in accordance with the number of stores belonging to a franchisee.

Franchisees need to have met a certain level of purchases to qualify for a bonus.

Diana Hunter, chief executive of Conviviality Retail, said: “Building strong relationships with our franchisees is the key to our success, and launching our reward scheme is part of our commitment to them.

“We aim to offer a range of market-leading incentives to our franchisees to help them deliver business growth and boost their profitability, alongside the great deals we supply every week.”

Conviviality Retail franchisee-operated stores are located throughout England and Wales and trade under a number of fascias including Bargain Booze, Select Convenience, Thorougoods and Wine Rack. The company listed on AIM - the London Stock Exchange’s international market for smaller growing companies - in July 2013.
