Through rolling hills, over 11 thousand feet of elevation, and at least 200 miles, teams raising money for GroceryAid showed “determination, resilience and fantastic team spirit every step (or pedal) of the way,” the charity said in a social media post this week.
Pedal the Borders is a three-day cycle trip suitable for both intermediate and advanced riders, which the charity organises to raise vital funds each year.
Together, this year teams raised an incredible £210,000 for GroceryAid, with every pound raised helping it to continue providing vital emotional, practical and financial support to colleagues and their families across the grocery industry when they need it most.
Beyond the fundraising, Pedal the Borders once again brought people together, creating new friendships, strengthening relationships and demonstrating the power of our industry coming together for a great cause., the charity said.
