Pontefract-based retailer Bobby Singh has taken to social media this week to celebrate his store’s donation of a kit to a local football team in partnership with Suntory.

The move formed part of the supplier’s Retail Champions initiative, which Bobby described as “a fantastic example of how a brand can make a real difference, not just through the products we represent, but through the communities we support.

“Being part of donating a new kit to the Pontefract Collieries FC Veterans team was a brilliant reminder of the power of giving back. Seeing the smiles, the appreciation and the pride from everyone involved showed exactly what these initiatives are all about,” Bobby added.

Lucy Dickinson, regional account manager at Suntory, added: “I had a truly heartfelt evening with Bobby Singh, proudly representing Lucozade and his local community store, as we donated a new kit to the Pontefract Collieries Veterans Team through our Retail Champions initiative.

“The appreciation from the players and everyone involved was amazing. It’s moments like these that remind us how much community support means, and that our efforts really do make a difference. A huge thank you to everyone at Pontefract Collieries Veterans team – the gratitude was genuinely humbling.”
