Graham’s Family Dairy is recalling three packs of its semi-skimmed milk because veterinary medicines, including antibiotics (penicillin) have been found the product.
All of the packs affected carry best before dates of 31 July, and the recall covers the one-pint, one-litre and two-litres sizes.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said that the presence of veterinary medicines in the dairy products - including antibiotics - in the product, may make it unsafe to consume and may be a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to antibiotics like penicillin.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product and/or on their website. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. The notices can be downloaded here.
The advice is that anyone who has bought the above product should not consume it. Instead, they can return it to where they bought it from for a full refund.
