Irish retailer Centra and Snappy Group have joined forces to develop home delivery app Centra Go.

Alongside traditional grocery, the app will enable hot food-to-go for home delivery, meaning Centra can now provide popular products, such as The Chicken Fillet Roll, to shoppers at home.

Mike Callachan, co-founder and chief executive officer for the Snappy Group, said: “Entering the Irish market and joining forces with Centra to bring the ‘Centra Go’ app to life is a landmark moment for us. Our shared customer-centric approach will revolutionise the shopping experience for Centra shoppers. We are confident that our technology will drive value, choice, and unparalleled convenience at every step of the shopper’s journey. Demand for our technology is increasing with the Centra Go app a showcase of the power of our white label capabilities.”

Ian Allen, managing director, said: “At Centra, we strive to provide the best convenience offering to our customers and give them what they want, when they want it.  Shoppers will be able to order from thousands of  grocery and deli product lines, from chicken fillet rolls to kitchen rolls, all now available as part of the online delivery trial. We are excited by our partnership with Snappy Shopper, their expertise in app development together with Centra retailers’ commitment to quality service will ensure that our shoppers have the most seamless shopping experience available.”
