Following our story this week about the first ever 24-hour delivery service in Scotland, retailer Girish Jeeva has posted onlne - no doubt after a tiring night - that his scheme had been a success.
After the first ‘soft launch’ night of the service, he revealed that 25 transactions had taken place, well over his goal of 20. Speaking on social media, he said: ”We’re incredibly impressed and even a little surprised. We saw 25 extra orders come in, which far exceeded our initial expectations.
“Our goal, as previously stated, was to reach 20 orders within the coming weeks and ideally achieve that target in about eight weeks. The fact we surpassed that on a traditionally quiet day, with a significant uplift in orders overnight, is a fantastic result.
“It strongly suggests there’s a real demand for this service, and that there are definitely people out there who will benefit from the convenience it offers. We’re optimistic and excited to see how these positive results continue as we move forward.”
