Spar has revealed its plans for Christmas 2018 including a revamped mince pie and spirits range, as well as new POS materials.

The Spar brand is offering retailers twenty fresh products in festive packaging and donating 10p from the sale of each of its Turkey Feast and Wensleydale & Carrot Chutney sandwiches to its national charity, Marie Curie.

Spar’s chocolate Santas, chocolate medallions and a net of chocolate coins will also return to stores this year alongside three new and improved mince pies, nine wines and three premium spirits.

Cath McIlwham, head of brand at Spar, said: “The Christmas period is a time where our shoppers have many last-minute parties, and entertaining at home increases dramatically.

“Our Spar brand range is perfect for casual eating at home, sharing, making Christmas dinner, and gifting. We’ve worked hard to make sure our festive offering is ideal for all our Spar retailers and their stores, whatever their size and formats, by catering for the many different shopper missions this Christmas and New Year.”

Marketing support for the Spar brand Christmas products will include digital, POS, social media and radio activity. The seasonal range will be available to Spar stores from 14 November until Christmas Day.
