The Sweet Sundays promotion from Mars is back for 2013. Running from June 7 until November 8, the campaign will be fronted by the Red and Yellow M&M’s characters and will run across Mars’ bitesize portfolio.

By saving up codes from four core-size or two large-size special packs consumers will be able to send off for a free Sunday cinema ticket. The 2012 campaign attracted 37% new shoppers to the Mars brand. This year, the initiative looks to be even bigger, involving more cinemas and the introduction of mobile technology to redeem tickets.

Worth £553m, Bitesize remains one of the most important categories for retailers and it is hoped that Mars’ Sweet Sundays promotion will further boost this thriving category.
