As part of its award-winning SnacKPartners programme, KP Snacks once again gathered together independent retailers from across the UK to take part in its 2018 ambassadors forum.
Held in Birmingham earlier this month, the event featured leading independent and symbol group retailers as well as expert speakers including; Sunder Sandher, Raaj Chandarana, Avtar Sidhu, Raj Aggarwal, Dee Sedani, Julian Taylor Green and Atul Sodha.
The forum, now in its fourth year, focused on building a two-way dialogue with retailers, while shedding light on recent changes to KP Snacks’ product offering. Discussions from key figures at KP Snacks covered the acquisition of Popchips and Tyrrell’s, product performance by channel and guidance around maximising on-the-go sales.
The forum was designed to champion retailers by giving them a voice on the KP’s product pipeline and merchandising. Ambassadors at the event receive an exclusive look at upcoming insights from the business and impartial category advice on the snacking market.
Matt Collins, sales director for convenience, wholesale, discounters & foodservice at KP Snacks, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with our retailers. These forums provide an invaluable opportunity to gather on-the-ground feedback around what’s working and what isn’t. We have a number of exciting developments in the pipeline that have been driven through as a direct result of feedback in last year’s sessions.
“For our part, we’re delighted to be able to share valuable insights with our ambassador partners, and all of the retail businesses that we work with, to help them to drive sales and make sure their businesses are evolving to meet the demands of the modern consumer.”
Commenting on the event, Raj Aggarwal, owner of Spar Hackenthorpe in Sheffield, said: “I’m very proud to be a part of the programme. What sets this forum apart is the direct action KP Snacks take as a result of our feedback. I’m excited to see the outcomes of the forum that will be announced later this year, and want to thank KP from all of us for championing retailer’s views.”
The next KP Snacks ambassadors forum will take place in December.
