Vape brands Elfbar and Lost Mary have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting retailers and adult vapers in transitioning to reusable alternatives. Central to this is ensuring there is widespread access to compatible refill pods and containers.

A spokesperson for both brands said: “At the moment, over 50,000 outlets across the UK are serviced by our wholesalers and distributors, in our nationwide effort to scale up the availability of our products’ refills, in-store and online.

“Multiple channels on the retail side, including key grocers, forecourts, convenience stores, wholesalers and symbol groups, are working with us to ensure that these refill parts are well displayed on shelves.”

While some observers have raised questions about the industry’s preparedness to deliver on refill accessibility, Elfbar and Lost Mary have already taken concrete steps to ensure robust supply and high availability across their reusable product ranges.

The spokesperson added: “While we understand the concerns about the ease of access to refills, we’re more than confident in the strength and reach of our supply network.

“Our reusable products are widely stocked across multiple leading grocers and supported by readily available refill pods and containers. This includes reusable devices such as the Elfbar 600 and Lost Mary BM600 prefilled pod kits – updated versions of two of the UK’s best-received single-use vapes – along with our wider reusable portfolio.”

In the convenience channel, although many stores are still selling through remaining single-use stock, most have already placed orders for refill pods and cartridges – a clear indication of the responsible retail sector’s move toward compliant, reusable formats.

To support this transition, both Elfbar and Lost Mary are working with key partners including wholesaler Booker, to ensure ongoing availability in local stores across the country.

The spokesperson adds: “Availability must be consistent, and we have made it a strategic priority to ensure our refill products are accessible at scale - crucial to supporting the shift to compliant, reusable products post-ban. We’ve taken all necessary steps in supply chain reach and retail readiness to meet demand – a dedication reflected in the breadth of our distribution network.”
