Dr. Oetker is looking to make the most of demand for birthday and celebration cakes with a refresh of its candles range.
The revamp includes a refresh of the brand’s core range, as well as the launch of new metalic candles, designed to open up more usage occasions and drive sales in the sector.
The Dr. Oetker candles range now includes: new metalic star candles (rrp £1.59) and new-look tall candles (rrp £1.39), party candles (rrp £1.05) and number candles (rrp £0.99).
As part of the revamp, the brand is also releasing a number of birthday cake recipes, featuring the candles, to inspire consumers.
Riccardo Panichi, head of marketing for cake and dessert at Dr. Oetker UK, said: “Our latest range renovation will bring something different to the candle sector. Home bakers are becoming more experimental with their cake decorations, so we wanted to launch a range of candles with something to complement every style and taste.”
The entire range of candles is available to independents and convenience retailers now.
