18-year-old PDC Darts world champion, Luke Littler, made a surprise appearance yesterday (11 June) in London at a charity darts match organised by KP Snacks, raising funds for a new mental health charity set up for retailers.
The champion took to the stage alongside Bobby Singh, Atul Sodha and other retailers completely unannounced.
KP Snacks were offering a pound for the new Retailers 4 Retailers charity (which Atul himself set up along with Natalie Lightfoot) for every point scored – and after some only very slight meddling with the figures, over £2k was raised for the initiative.
Retailers 4 Retailers was launched last year in a bid to offer convenience store owners a service that could empathise and comprehend the struggles they face better than anyone.
The arrival of the Littler came on the eve of his appearance at the World Cup of Darts, where he will compete for England, taking place in Frankfurt this weekend. He was announced last year as the face of KP Nuts, and wears the brand logo on his shirt.
