Royal Mail services are now available across 8,000 Collect+ locations and PayPoint retailers have been urged to prepare for a growth in parcel volumes, customers and commission.

The partnership between the two parcel services, announced back in February, aims to provide customers with flexible options for dropping off parcels while meeting growing demand for additional delivery, collection and drop-off choices.

Ahead of the key peak trading period, Collect+ owner PayPoint has advised retail partners to brace for higher parcel volumes and a boost in local footfall, as stores become a “key destination for parcel services in the community”.

Meanwhile, the rise in parcel traffic presents “more earning potential” with every successful collection or drop-off, it added.

To support retailers with the change, an extensive programme is underway to help retailers prepare for the increase in parcels.

It will include hints, tips and best practice about handling the extra volume and continuing to deliver an excellent service, added PayPoint.

“We are excited to be partnering with Royal Mail to deliver even more commission earning opportunities for our retailer partners. We’re committed to supporting them with a comprehensive programme of tips and training to make the most of this fantastic opportunity as we head towards the key peak trading period,” said Nick Williams, parcel services director at PayPoint.
