Clearly, the difference is 50 quid (even I can work that one out). In our last issue I recounted the trials and tribulations of selling a store. Mukesh Patel’s first buyer pulled out after some expensive delays. The second one was also looking a bit wobbly because the new potential buyer told Mukesh that PayPoint was insisting on a new contract which included a new terminal and epos system costing £65 a week - not feasible given that Mukesh’s PP commission was less than that.
However, PP has now informed me that this cost is only £15 per week.
I’m happy to set the record straight. I let Mukesh know and he was happy to hear it. And even happier to report that the sale is still going through.
