One Stop colleagues at Hangloose (1)

Last Tuesday (1 July), 100 members of One Stop staff took part in a terrifying charity zip-line drop, in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

The event took place at Hangloose, in Bluewater, and raised £18k (and counting).

The drop is England’s longest zip-line at over 720m long and100m high, and allows nervous participants to reach speeds of up to 50mph.

Jessica Darby, digital marketing manager at One Stop - who has a fear of heights - said of the day: “This was an unforgettable experience, filled with so many emotions. Heights are my worst nightmare but doing this for an incredible cause got me through - and the adrenaline!”

Lizzie Pearl, head of corporate partnerships at the Alzheimer’s Society, said: “One Stop has supported us for many years, but this is its most daring fundraiser yet. We extend our thanks to the 100 One Stop colleagues who pushed themselves out of their comfort zone to raise over £18,000 for Alzheimer’s Society and help to create a brighter future for those impacted by dementia.”

One Stop colleagues Amanda Merrick, Grace Parkes and Jessica Darby documented their Hangloose journey, which you can take a look at on their Instagram and TikTok pages.
