CCEP has added four more brands to its Supercan range in response to growing demand for the format.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has announced it is expanding its 500ml Supercan line-up, with Sprite, Fanta Orange and Dr Pepper now available nationwide in the larger single-serve can format.

The three brands join Coca-Cola Original Taste, Zero Sugar and Diet Coke in the large range, with the recently announced Coca-Cola Cherry also set to join the line-up

CCEP’s early data points to incremental growth for soft drinks, with £10.71m in value sales already generated by the 500ml cans across the Coca-Cola trademark.

It added that, for retailers, this creates another opportunity to grow sales from the chiller alongside their established single-serve ranges.

Distinctive brands

Sprite builds on its long-standing connection with basketball through a Super FAN Edition x NBA, while Fanta Orange turns up the fun with its Super FANta Edition. Dr Pepper’s Super Weird Edition, meanwhile, brings the brand’s established Try More Weird platform to the format.

Sprite, Fanta Orange and Dr Pepper are available now as individual 500ml cans, with an RRP of £1.90 each. Free POS materials will be available via MyCCEP.com to help retailers create theatre in-store, drive standout and bring the range to life.

Real opportunity

Rob Yeomans, vice president for commercial development at CCEP GB, said: “When we launched Supercan earlier this year, we saw a real opportunity to add something new to immediate consumption and create incremental growth for our customers. The early performance has given us confidence in the format, and we think there’s plenty more potential to unlock.

“For retailers, this isn’t about choosing between cans and bottles. Different formats work for different shoppers and different occasions. Supercan gives retailers another option in the chiller - and with Sprite, Fanta, Dr Pepper, and Coca-Cola Cherry now joining the line-up, there’s an opportunity to create a much stronger presence for the format across some of our biggest brands.”
