Team members from One Stop stores have been busy raising funds for Welsh-based children’s hospice, Tŷ Hafan, and this week, they’re celebrating a huge milestone.
Since their support began over 10 years ago, One Stop and its colleagues have raised £200,000 for the children’s hospice.
Tŷ Hafan is a Welsh children’s hospice who care for children to help make their short lives as full as they can be as well as supporting their families with ongoing bereavement care.
Since 2011, One Stop colleagues have participated in a wide variety of fundraising challenges. From raffles to tombolas to extreme sports such as sky dives and various challenging hikes, all have been dedicated to helping to raise funds for Tŷ Hafan to help fulfil their ambition to support and provide care for as many Welsh families through life, death and beyond.
Sorrel Mayo, senior relationship fundraiser at Tŷ Hafan expressed her thanks to the retailer and its colleagues: “What a privilege it is to work with the incredible team at One Stop, who are always so engaged and committed to helping Tŷ Hafan in any way they can.
Collectively, One Stop have raised a phenomenal £204,901.41p - which has literally changed the lives of many families in Wales, who care for a child whose life will be short.
“The huge impact of our partnership means Tŷ Hafan can continue to reach many more families who currently receive no access to Tŷ Hafan services. We could not be more grateful of the amazing work that One Stop does in support of Tŷ Hafan, please accept a huge thank you from us all.”
