A newly launched convenience store, Green’s On The Go, on Hospital Hill, Dunfermline, marked its official opening last week with a £2,000 donation to two local youth-focused organisations - taking Greens Retail Group’s total community giving to an impressive £60,000.
The donations are made in partnership with Co-op Wholesale’s charity, Making a Difference Locally, with funding generated through the sale of Co-op branded products in store. The initiative supports community causes across the UK.
To celebrate the store’s launch, two donations of £1,000 have been awarded through this initiative, focusing on improving opportunities for young people in Dunfermline.
The chosen causes were Dunfermline High School and the Brucefield Youth Organisation. The donations will support the creation of new outdoor spaces at the school, and new arts and craft supplies at the organisation.
These latest donations reflect Green’s On The Go’s commitment to being “more than just a convenience store,” with a strong focus on investing in local people and community wellbeing from day one.
Jack Brady from Green’s said: “We’re incredibly proud to support these fantastic local organisations as part of our store launch. Reaching £60,000 in community donations through our partnership with Making a Difference Locally is a fantastic milestone, and we’re delighted that Dunfermline High School and Brucefield Youth Organisation are part of that journey.
”We hope these contributions make a real difference to young people locally.”
