The Scratch & Win competition is the biggest ever campaign from Greens

To celebrate Scotland’s return to the FIFA World Cup, Greens Retail has launched its largest customer giveaway to date, with more than £100,000 worth of prizes available to be won through a nationwide Scratch & Win campaign.

Customers have the chance to win major prizes including:

● £1,000 cash

● A PerfectDraft home draught beer machine

● A 75-inch LG Smart TV

● A replica Scotland World Cup kit

● One year of free Skwishee

The promotion, which runs across all 29 Greens Retail stores throughout Scotland until 19 July, will see 70,000 Scratch & Win cards distributed to customers spending £15 or more in-store.

In addition, thousands of instant-win prizes are available, including Fisher & Donaldson Fudge Doughnuts, free food and drink products, vouchers and a range of Scottish-themed rewards.

The six-week campaign represents the largest customer engagement initiative ever undertaken by Greens Retail and forms part of the retailer’s wider strategy to create memorable in-store experiences while supporting local suppliers and communities.

The campaign is supported by extensive in-store marketing, digital activity and colleague engagement across Greens Retail’s estate, with stores embracing a football-themed atmosphere throughout the World Cup period.

Managing director at Greens Retail, Harris Aslam, said: “Scotland’s qualification for the World Cup has given the whole country something to get behind, and as a proudly Scottish retailer, we wanted to mark the occasion in a way that rewards our customers and celebrates the communities we serve.

“This is the biggest giveaway we’ve ever run. We’re putting more than £100,000 worth of prizes into the hands of our customers through 70,000 Scratch & Win cards, creating excitement in stores across Scotland throughout the tournament.

“We’ve deliberately built the promotion around prizes that reflect both the occasion and our Properly Local, Proudly Scottish values. Alongside the headline prizes, customers will find rewards from fantastic Scottish brands and suppliers that are at the heart of our stores every day.”

Operations manager at Greens Retail, Barry Corrieri, added: “This is the most impactful promotion we’ve ever run across the estate. Store teams have embraced it from the outset, and we’re already seeing strong compliance in execution, high levels of colleague engagement, and early indications of increased customer spend linked to the promotion.

“When you combine that with the simplicity of the mechanic and the excitement it’s generating in-store, it’s been a very strong start to the campaign.”
