UK forecourt retailer Park Garages has just launched a refreshed store at its flagship site in Rushden, Northants, as part of a wider initiative to “set a new benchmark in roadside convenience” with partner Co-op Wholesale, it said.
The flagship store, spanning over 2,835 sq.ft., boasts a comprehensive supply of ambient, chilled and freezer goods from Co-op Wholesale, including food for later and food to go ranges.
Additionally, the store stocks Co-op own brand staples such as the popular Served and Irresistible ranges.
As part of the revamp, a new store plan has been rolled out to enhance the range and offer an improved shopper experience. Outside, the exterior shows ‘Proud to Stock Co-op’ signage.
The store is part of an initiative to modernise and enhance shopper experience in stores across the 80 strong Park Garages footprint. Over the next two months, 73 more stores on Park Garages’ sites are due to be refreshed.
The partnership between Park Garages and Co-op Wholesale goes “above and beyond key investment in stores,” the pair said. It also supports charities with important fundraising. Co-op Wholesale’ Making a Difference Locally have also donated £500 for nearby Denfield Park Primary School to mark the relaunch.

Sunil Tandon, MD of Park Garages, said: “It’s great to see our flagship store in Rushden open its doors with a refreshed store layout and a fantastic range for our customers to enjoy. Co‑op’s own brand product range is a powerhouse and gives us the strength to win in key shopper missions. We can’t wait for our customers to start enjoying the revamped range we now offer.
“It’s also important that we’ve been able to support a local school as part of the launch. The team here is looking forward to being able to continue to support the local community and primary schools through Making a Difference Locally.
“We’re committed to providing opportunities for young people in the areas we serve, and initiatives like this help ensure they have access to valuable experiences that support their development and wellbeing.”
Ian King, business development and growth director, added: “We’re in the middle of an important rollout across Park Garage sites and to see the flagship store in Rushden launch gives us tremendous pride.
“This collaboration is about redefining what success looks like in forecourt retail and the change we’ve seen here, truly demonstrates that. The team is already busy working on the next refits which we’re excited to reveal in due course.”
