Booker has launched a new price-fighting hand-rolling tobacco under its Red Band brand.
The new line, which is available in 25g and 12.5g sizes pricemarked at £5,45 and £2.75 respectively, features some of the lowest rrps in the rolling category. Profit on return (POR) is 12%.
Red Band Virginia rolling tobacco will normally be available in outers of 10 x 12.5g for £20.59 and 5 x 25g for £20.39. However, as an introductory offer, retailers will be able to take advantage of a 'buy two outers and save £5' promotion, which will increase their POR to 22%. The offer will run until November 2, so Booker is advising retailers to stock up now.
Rolling tobacco is the fastest growing sector within the tobacco category, and delivers more profit to retailers than cigarettes.
