A village shop in North Pembrokeshire is up for sale for the first time in half a century.
Letterson Village Stores has been family-run since it was built in 1974. Brother and sister duo Gerwyn Howells and Marilyn Griffiths have been running the store for the last 20 years and have now decided to step back and retire.
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has been instructed to market the local business.
The detached store includes a spacious sales area with scope to expand the range of products on offer, according to Christie & Co.
A large three-bedroom flat above the store could be used by the new owners or let out as an additional source of income, it added.
Marilyn Griffiths said stepping back had been a “very hard decision”.
“I have really enjoyed running the store. Our customers are fantastic and I have made many friends over the years. The time has come to think about the future and retirement plans,” she said.
Matthew McFarlane, business agent at Christie & Co, added: “We are delighted to have been instructed to sell this business by Marilyn and Gerwyn. It has been in the family for over 50 years and offers an exciting opportunity for either a first-time business owner or multi-operator.”
The store is on the market with a freehold asking price of £465,000.
