Parfetts has welcomed a new Go Local Extra store in Hartlepool, as long-established local retailers Paramjit and Rajbir Rai mark 25 years serving their community with an exciting relaunch.

Previously a Lifestyle Express fascia, the store underwent a complete refit and conversion to Go Local Extra. It has already seen sales rise by more than a third, with turnover continuing to grow week-on-week.

The Halloween-themed relaunch brought together local families and community figures, with face painting, confectionery giveaways and free Red Bull provided through supplier support.

Store owner Rajbir, added: “It’s been a really easy process working with Parfetts. We’re glad we made the move and, if anything, can’t believe we haven’t done it sooner.

Guy Swindell, joint managing director of Parfetts, added: “Paramjit and Rajbir have created a fantastic store that embodies everything we want Go Local Extra to represent: great value, quality products and a warm community feel.

“The store’s success is a brilliant example of how our partnership model helps independent retailers grow their businesses while staying at the heart of their local community.”
