Harris Aslam, director of Eros Retail, says limited edition Kopparberg Kegs are providing his stores in Scotland with a “massive point of difference”.
“They are absolutely flying out,” he says.
”They are a limited edition that they do annually and last year we bought a few cases and sold out within hours. This year we stocked up on as many as we could so since the supermarkets all ran out we have been the only place people can get them.
“It’s a real trendy product and it’s got a lot of people talking about us and it’s provided us with a massive point of difference.
“NPD is something we massively thrive on. We are doing a lot of work with key suppliers such as Mars, to do high profile launches of their NPD. For example, their new Mars Brownie has been a good bit of NPD for us.”
“The other key thing that’s working for us is our partnership with our local bakery,” he adds.
“Generally, what’s going well is our food-to-go. It’s something we are investing in and we are planning more and more around this category at the moment.”
