Sweet maker Stockley’s has another retro flavour in its range, following its Jam Roly Poly & Custard addition last year.
The new Lemon Meringue is intended as a modern twist on the zingy citrus treat, with an involving lemon and vanilla shell paired with a tangy citrus centre.
Head of marketing, Andy Valentine, said: “The perfect storm of spiralling chocolate prices over the last 18 months, coupled with a growing appetite for strong, playful flavours and fun sharing formats has not only been integral to confectionery’s renaissance but for the growing popularity of contrasting yet compatible flavour marriages like this.”
The 250g bags carry an RRP of £5.99.
