Halloween may be a bit different this year but that doesn’t mean you can’t scare up some sales with these new seasonal products.

Skittles Sweet Heat

Mars Wrigley has brought back its fiery twist on Skittles for Halloween 2020.

The fruity flavoured sweets with a spicy kick are aimed at consumers looking for a daring treat over the Halloween period. They come in a 196g sharing pouch with an rrp of £1.49.

Hancocks Halloween range

Specialist confectionery wholesaler Hancocks has launched a selection of Halloween lines as part of its seasonal offering.

It has unveiled new Bonds Mallow Skewers showcasing pumpkins, ghosts and witches, alongside new theatre boxes of Sneezies Fizzy Gummies from Crazy Candy Factory. There’s also a selection of Halloween inspired pick & mix lines including: Witches Heads, Fizzy Fangs and Jelly Filled Skulls.

McVitie’s Cakes

Pladis’ McVitie’s Cakes Halloween range comprises five brand-new products, with three new products under its McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes and McVitie’s Digestives brands as well as additional NPD under its Halloween-exclusive McVitie’s Funny Bones range.

The McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Zesty Orangey Cake Bars consist of McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes zesty orange filling, disguised by light, purple sponge and smothered in dark chocolate. Available in a pack consisting of five individually-wrapped bars, McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Zesty Orangey Cake Bars will be available at an RRP of £1. Also new is McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Fruity Blackcurrant Cake Bars (five individually-wrapped bars, RRP: £1) comprise a light sponge and fruity blackcurrant filling, encased in a dark chocolate coating.

McVitie’s Digestives Cinder Toffee Flavour Slice consists of a layer of golden-baked biscuit with a cinder toffee flavour, topped with McVitie’s’ chocolate. McVitie’s Digestives Cinder Toffee Flavour Slices are available in a pack of five individually-wrapped bars at an RRP of £1. McVitie’s Funny Bones Chocolate Cakes Bars (eight individually-wrapped bars, RRP: £1) comprise a fluffy sponge, topped with chocolate cream and enrobed in milk chocolate. McVitie’s Funny Bones Sticky Toffee Flavoured Cake (200g) is available at an RRP of £1.

Mondelēz International

The brand has launched themed confectionery for the Halloween season.

Mondelēz International is launching two new treatsize bags – Cadbury Family Treatsize and Freddo and Friends Treatsize, both including an assortment of Cadbury favourites.

Mr Kipling Roald Dahl cakes

Building on the cross-generational popularity of the limited-edition Roald Dahl range offered by Mr Kipling over the last four years in summer, Premier Foods has expanded its limited-edition Roald Dahl range offered by Mr Kipling for Halloween. The two limited-edition products, Grand High Witch’s Chocolate + Vanilla Slices and Formula 86 Chocolate Tarts, are inspired by Roald Dahl’s ‘The Witches’ story, and will launch across the market to broaden the appeal of the seasonal range and attract new shoppers to the category. These terrifying treats have been carefully developed to reflect specific elements of the renowned story and bring some joy to the nation celebrating this popular calendar moment.

Country Choice

The Funtime Chocolate Orange Doughnuts are 45g sugared, chocolate-flavoured doughnuts with an orange filling. Retailers can simply thaw, serve, bag, and label the treat, which has a two-day shelf life once defrosted and comes packed in cases of 80 with bags and labels included.

Its Halloween Gingerbread Pumpkins are returning once again. The 65g spooky shaped ginger-flavoured biscuit has piercing chocolate bean eyes. These treats come in cases of 28, Halloween stickers included, and can be thawed and served in their individual wrappers. They have a 28-day shelf life.

Its range is completed by the Spooky Halloween cupcake. The chocolate sponge cake is topped with vanilla icing and a chocolate pumpkin. The individually wrapped 85g thaw and serve treats come with Halloween stickers included, have a 14-day shelf life, and come in cases of 20.
