Cornwall-based Sharp’s Brewery has unveiled a new bottled special bitter called Sea Fury (5% ABV).

Following high demand for Sharp’s Special cask ale, Sea Fury has launched as the bottled version.

The special bitter beer style offers substance and depth of flavour without compromising balance and drinkability. An aroma of inviting roasted and dark berry notes gives way to a sumptuous malty taste, with hints of berry fruits. The name Sea Fury is inspired by the stormy Atlantic seas that crash into the rugged Cornish coast near Sharp’s Brewery.

Sharp’s senior brand manager James Nicholls said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our newest, exceptional bottled beer, Sea Fury, into retailers across the country. We hope that drinkers will love its depth of flavour and balanced drinkability as much as we do. Sea Fury perfectly complements Sharp’s growing range of beers available in the off-trade, including Doom Bar – the UK’s number one cask beer – and Atlantic Pale Ale, one of the country’s most exciting new ales.”

Sharp’s Brewery has grown in just over 20 years from a small microbrewery to brewers of more than 70 million pints a year. Sharp’s employs 145 people and contributes millions of pounds annually to the Cornish economy. More than £13million has already been invested into expanding the brewery at Rock in the last five years with a further £1.2 million committed for investment in 2016. Sharp’s Brewery has also launched a new Pilot Plant at Rock as part of its commitment to innovating with new flavours and aromas.

‘Sea Fury’ can be purchased through Sharp’s Brewery. Call the team on 01208 864864 or visit www.sharpsbrewery.co.uk.
