TV’s Billy Monger ‘unwraps’ the enormous chocolate F1 car from KitKat at Silverstone.

KitKat has just unveiled a life-sized, hand-crafted chocolate car, inspired by Formula 1 a the home of UK motor racing, Silverstone.

The piece was revealed at the legendary Silverstone Circuit by racing ace and presenter Billy Monger, marking the high-speed start of KitKat’s partnership with the sport and in celebration of its limited miniature replica chocolate car bars.

KitKat wanted to pay tribute by creating a chocolate car that mirrors the size of a real F1 model. Measuring an impressive 5m in length, 2m metres in width, and weighing in at a whopping 350kg, the car is equal to the equivalent of over 16,900 two-finger KitKats.

In the legendary Silverstone pit lane where the world’s fastest cars usually undergo high-pressure tyre changes, Billy Monger traded the smell of burning rubber for the scent of chocolate. Swapping his racing helmet for a KitKat, Billy “unwrapped” the giant car, proving that even the home of British racing needs a break sometimes.

Monger said: “I’ve seen some incredible cars at Silverstone, but none as unique as this one. I’m buzzing to be unveiling this giant KitKat car to kick off the new season, reminding people to take a break and get ready for all of the action.”

Scott Coles, managing director for Nestlé Confectionery in the UK and Ireland, added: “To celebrate our partnership with Formula 1 we wanted to build something truly unexpected. We built the chocolate racing car as a tribute to the precision of the sport and the playfulness of our brand.”

KitKat will feature at key F1 races in Nestlé’s top markets during the 2026 season. The partnership goes beyond trackside visibility, delivering immersive fan experiences through social media engagement, exclusive merchandise, in-store activations, prize promotions and innovative products.
