Quorn’s new TV adverts will run until the end of February and are the latest in its ‘deliciously healthy protein’ campaign, highlighting the brand’s taste and food credentials.

The ads feature two high profile Olympic gold medal athletes, GB and England hockey captain Kate Richardson-Walsh and the world record-holding swimmer, Adam Peaty.

“At a time of year when many people are actively seeking healthier options, we’re showcasing just how easy it is to make great-tasting dishes with Quorn as the main ingredient,” says Quorn’s head of UK category management, Julian Cooke.

“In the past, many shopkeepers have assumed that Quorn is the preserve of vegetarians. The reality is that 73% of shoppers who buy Quorn are non-vegetarians, highlighting the mainstream appeal of this top 40 (IRI 52 w/e December 3rd 2016) UK grocery brand which has annual sales in excess of £150 million, is growing at 8% and bought by 6 million (Kantar, 52 w/e December 3rd, 2016) households.”

In the 20-second commercials, the two gold medal winners prepare and eat recipes of lasagne and Thai curry, backed by the strapline ‘Quorn, a deliciously healthy protein’.

The latest commercials form part of a heavyweight TV campaign which sees Quorn on the small screen for 49 weeks of the year.
