
Rio Mare Insalatissime is already the market-leading tuna salad in 16 European countries including Italy and Germany, and now, it has introduced its meal range to the UK.
Packaged in a travel-friendly, fully recyclable 160g stay-fresh bowl with no added preservatives, the salads are aimed at “consumers looking for a healthy meal or a quick, protein-rich snack,” it says.
The launch has been supported by in-store promotions and sampling and will also benefit from a major UK TV advertising, PR and social campaign throughout the year. Focusing on Rio Mare Tuna in Olive Oil, the campaign will elevate the brand’s visibility, making consumers aware of its status as Italy’s favourite tuna, and commitment to quality.
The range includes six delicious tuna salads, retailing at £3 and including a Mexican style salad, as well as Cous Cous, Sweetcorn, Lentils, Bean and Quinoa versions. All Insalatissime salads are made with MSC-certified tuna, reflecting the brand’s dedication to promoting sustainable fishing practices in line with MSC Fisheries standards.
